- -wooden ; front painted black with handpainted green palm trees and red and white sun - back paint and wood striped neck ; light and dark green paint border around edge on back - 6 strings - 'WL" handpainted in black in red at top of head - remnants of brown paper glued to back - belonged to Gary Lavery's Uncle William who owned and decorated this guitar in the 1930s. He played it in a local band that did C&W and Hawaiian music - it was strung very high because it was used as a slide guitar -Guitar belonged to William Lavery played with the Ranch Boys 1930s & 40s. He lived on William St. and worked at Steven’s Garage. Moved to B.C. where he died in 1980s. - Begin date 1930 / End date 1939 - 9cm H / 93cm L Chatham Kent Museum Out in the Open exhibition VS 098
