- - brown glazed stoneware 1 gallon open crock with impressed merchant's name "TAYLOR & WILLIAMSON/General Merchants/Chatham & cedar Springs" on front
- The "Taylor and Williamson" were general grocery and dry goods merchants with stores in Chatham and Cedar Springs who would have ordered stoneware vessels such as this, impressed with the retailer's name (at a slight additional cost) from Welding Pottery in Brantford. Only one other crock (a brown/green glazed jug) with this merchant's name is presently known hence it piece is quite rare.
