Description
- wheat sheafs are woven and stocks of wheat put into the woven part
- plaited from the last sheaf of corn to be cut and hung over the harvest supper for good luck; the dolly was then hung in the cow byre and the grain rubbed out and mingled with the next sowing to perpetuate the "Spirit of Corn"
