It came ta the minds of several that the time limit mav be vcry short befone these poarly attended rural churches will be closeti and service beld ut one central church. A sort of advance poil gives an almost even vote for those dcsiring such a change. Cartwright has long been a pioneer in centrulization with such satisfactorV rsuts that only those wishing ta mce-' tain a little individualisin e- main against the idea. The fuct that the municipality is easily adapted ta such a form same- limes aulweighs the facts that the central community itsel! is badly dividcd by numerous im- anemy grievances and petty jealausies. Those of us who sincerely wish ta keep a local church service must soon begin ta show it bxr sîronger backing and better attendance before it is too late. The group under leadership of Orville Hindmun, discussed the Soil Bank idea. They de- cidéd it would educe surplus- es in aur country also, but we didn't think aur sumpluses ;n Canada were so great that it would be wise to do this. A year with a very pon eturn might use up aur Canadian surplus. What we neeri is mnore storage accommodation. A soil bank would promote soul conservation, but some farmers are tmying ta conserve soul by planting trees or mare scientific cultivatian. We do think' there are some farm lands that should be taken out o! cultivation. The modemn buildings in aur dist- rict is helping toe us up same of this land. On their own farina, each owner should take somne of the responsibility for doing this. The government might give some aid in this, by offering cash for so many acres taken Perhaps, by the advice truined men, the gaverm might ulso promote better of some o! this land by mef estution or tobacco lands.
