Letter to the Editor March 17, 1975 Dear Mr. James: We have been following the discussions on the "Sunday morning hockey" the past few weeks in your paper and feel we should voice our opinion to ail instead of commenting amongst a few. With every respect to the churches, we still do not agree with closing our arena down for so many hours when Sunday School and church takes only two hours. We would agree with "no scheduled hockey games as all players must be there" but to continue with hockey prac- tices for those who can be there. Even now, some boys to not attend their practices regardless of the day. It is a shame that so many boys would have to be deprived of something they love to do because of "a few". We believe when a boy reaches his teens he then is old enough to decide between church and hockey practices. It would be nice for some to see these boys strolling down the streets laden with hockey equipment at 6:30 Sunday a.m. They would then see and understand what these orac- tices mean to the boys. ^ We "Thank You" for your time in reading this and remind you this is in support of the arena remaining open for HOCKEY PRACTICES.
