Each year it bas been held, the number of groups wanting to participate has grown, mak- ing it necessary to move to large quarters. On Saturday afternoon, even though the weather outside was Spring-like, long- before the opening ribbon was cut by Mrs. Garnet Rickard, the mayor's wife, the corri- dors at Bowmanville High School were jammed with peoplewaiting to see what was bein offered this year. When the opening ceremon- ies wýere comp1eted, they rushed into the cafeteria and the adjoining hallway, picking up the many bargains, the home-cooking and other items that were being 'displayed. One booth was sold out in haif an hour and most of the others did a roaring business. It was a great show. When it was ail over, they relaxed and had a cup of tea -and cookies. The Joannas of St. John's Church did a big business in hand-dipped Eastet eggs. Donnie Joskow, Angela Park and Tania Joskow cleaned up a box of cupeakes in short order while their mothers toured the exhihits. Homemade bread was on sale at the Old Bakery Booth operated by 4thý Bowmanville Salvation Army Brownie Pack. Every booth had something different to seil and this, one really drew many buyers.
