Lockes opened the scoring at the 11:37 mark with a goal by rookie M. Hewer assisted by G. Adams. Later as Lockes were short handed, Sandy Brown made a sole rush from bis end, crossed over the blue linie and blistered a slap-shot to the upper right corner to tie it up, one all. Rick Woolner came bacl< wi th a tally withi the help of bis wvingers to take the lead for Lockes. Before the period ended, Howie Edmonston chose to "Pick 'a Corner" instead of hitting the Queen as he salted away a lovely wrist shot to the bottom left corner tyng the 'score 2-2. Charlie Watson, Locke's rookie goalie, shôwed obvious problems witb bis stick side Tbursday night. County took acivantage of this, in the second period,,scoring 3 co nsecutive goals by J. Taylor with a pair and Rob Donoghue, a single, gi ving County a 3 goal lead going into the third period., 'At the one minute mark Woolner came back with B. Hughes and D. Osmond and put a quick tally in the net. The third period seemed to be Sandy Brown's game as he finished -off bis hat-trick with two unassisted goals for County. "Rubber legs" Hughes sbowed bis steadipiess in front of the net as he tucked a, final goal away for Lockes. The second 'gamne saw Kramp's Furniture hold off Huuper's Jeweller's to a 5-3 victory.
