Write: Consumer Relations, Miracle Food Mort, 65 Rexdale BIvd., Rexdaie, Ontario. The slogan "KNO WL- EDGE, WISDOM, TRUST.", Great words. If the Town's politicians would say in sin- cerity, that tbe "goal" of tbis district is "knowledge, wis- dom and trust", it would mean a great deal more. There is little evidence of "knowledge, wisdom or trust" between the town's people and beaurocracy bere. Tbe editor- ials of tbis paper sbow tbis quite clearly. Tbe nuclear sign topping the crest seemrs a bit of a paradox in view of a worlddecision to baît nuclear development for offensive, defensive or peace- ful purposes at tbis time!: Signed: One wbo wisbes "Knowledge, wisdom and trust" was an estAblished fact here., S' àHAWS Sincere congrâtualtions are extended to Dick Lovekin, the local Shaw's boy wbo bas done so well and recently was appointed to the position of. County Court Judge in Bramp- ton. The picture of the swearing in ceremony reveal a truly dignified E.R. Lovekin wbo seems ready for bis many judicial cbores in the second busiest court of Ontario. The Peel County court is second only to Metro Toronto in the number of cases to be dis- posed of in one year. Dick looks on this recent appointment as tbe beginning of bis third career and is quoted as saying "I neyer knew tbat judges could be such cbarming cbaps."ý We, in Sbaws, are proud of you -Dick and we'll continue to read of your work witbi great înterest. Ail tbe best! Theneigbbours will: be so pleased to know that Bob Gutbrie is making good progress in Oshawa Hlospital and is able to be borne witb bis family every Sunday. My tbanks are extended to tbose who bave sent ýalong sucb lovely messages of comfort in the loss of my motber. I was very pleased to bear from Mrs. Helen Lovekin Symons in Texas, Mrs.,Ermie Smitb in Florida and, Mrs. Idela Weatherilt of NorWood - ail readers of tis beloved Statesman.' Our sympatby is extended to Marilynn Dow and her family on the recent loss of a dear mother and grandmotber, Mrs. Editb Page of Montreal. Funeral services were: beld last Wednesday at St. Peter's Anglican Cburcb, Mount Royal. i Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Wood were pleasantly surprised by a family party that developed wben tbey visited tbeir grand- son Wayne Hunt and bis wife Dale, in Pontypool last week- end. Wayne bad just com- pleted a magnificent large coloured portrait of Lewis and Margaret whicb was present- ed to tbem during the evening. Tbis gif t was done to bonour their recent 5tb Anniversary. Otber family membersý pre- sent were Helen and Andy May of Ballentrae, Stan and Kay Powell, Newcastle, Jamie and Racbelle McPbail, Peterborough, Janice,:Hunt and friend, Toronto and Daryl and Debbie, Hunt alsôofo Pontypool. Oufriend Mrs. Beýrtba ,Barnes of tbe Baseline ýarea called to report that she and, daugbter Grace bave returned from California last week wbere sbe attended the National American Gladiolus Council as a delegate from tbis Durbam Region. IlShe reports a splendid' tnip and fine accomodation. OBI"ITUARY J. CECIL MALLEY 1 Ill for a few days, J.
