There are s0 many variations in looks that mnake-up for many brides is a puzzle. The emnotional period before the wedding finds them trying ail kinds of new preparations and appli- -cations. This, often results in the bride looking completely -'f(erenit than usual, 4isdestroying lier ý__.,,ura1 beauty. 1Wyou are a bride-to- be just remember whom you will be meeting at the altar. Many brides listen to everyone but the groom untîl af ter the wedding. Perhaps this is the reason why many ~young women se even more beautiful and natural in weeks after their wedding day. If you do not have any &~skin problems to cover, you - need wear very little to enhance your own good looks. Whatever you normally wear may suffice. In al instances do not wear fluorscent or frosted- type make-up, the kind that looks glitte-ry in the jar. It reflects 50 strong- ly with light and reacts with the colour film so that it changes the colour of skin in photo- graphs. Here are somne simple steps to follow. 1. First sparingly apply baby oùl or nivea creamn or some other cream-based facial cream to the eye lids and under eyes. This kees the skin supple andfavoîds a cakey appearance. 2. If you have any outstanding blemishes, apply liquid foundation make-up to your face using upward strokes with your fingers. Any blemishes that still appear darker you may touch up with a Q-tip dipped in a lighter shade of ýmake-up; then proceed as f ollows... 3. Apply a water resistant mascara in a shjade just darker than your own. 4. Do no', use false eye lashes or eye liner, these tend to give eyes a haîf closed look in close-up photographs.' 5. if you normally wear eye shadow, you may use some sparingly. Neyer wear white, it changes the skin colour. The lightest point in. a picture attracts the eye. There- fore eye shadow should be only a shadow in order to accentuate the natural highlight in the eye itself. Eye shadow that is lighter than the highlight ini the eye is overpowering and defeats its purpose. 6. Next Pat on a little powder usmng downward finger strokes. Blush on the cheeks is acceptable as long as it's not the flourescent kind and is not overdone. 7. Lipstick should have , enough colour saturation to photo- graph well. Too light and lips will looked washed out. Too dark or brownish red will look unnatural. If you use make-up as sparingly as possible you will look back and not look "dated" because of some mnake- up fad.
