Cemetery Board Needs Volunteers The Bond Head'Cemetery in Newcastle Village is without a board to operate its day-to-day activities, the town's coin- munity services committee was told Monday night. "We tried unsuccessfully to interest other public spirited people in the village", a spokesman for the board stated. Present board members have said they wish to retire from the cemetery committee, the, spokesman said. He added that financially the cemetery is in good shape, with a deficit of only $31 last year and a balance of over $700 in its current account. The Town of Newcastle is still looking for anyone willing to serve on the board. Recreation Report is Available A rep ort on the town of Newcastle's parks and recrea- tion activities during 1977 has been completed by the munici- pality's community services departmnent. Bud Fanninig, director of community services, said» the report will be available at libraries, post offices, the town hall, arenas and schools in the area.
