OBDITUARIES JAMES HEIGHTON James Heighton died at the family residence on Nash Rd. in Courtice on Friday, March ioth, 1978. A resident of Oshawa since 1971, he was born February 11, 1943 in Halifax, NS., a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Heighton. Mr. Heighton a member of St. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church was a former employee of General Motors of Canada in the South Plant, B Body for two years, and was, a member of UAW Local 222. Mr. Heighton is survived by his, wif e, the former Neilie Jones of Courtice; four daughters, Marilyn of Oshawa, Kimberly, Brenda and Tanya of Halifax, two sons, Thomas of Oshawa and James of Halifax, N.S. Three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Strick- land (Lillian) of Middle Sack- ville, N.S., Mrs. Harold Denny (Dolly) and Mrs. Rodney Josey (Ruth)ý both of Lowver Sackville, N.S. and four brothers, Robert, Geraid and Ron of Halifax and Hugh of Vancouver, B.C. He was predeceased by two brothers,.Duncan and Louis. Mr. Heighton rested at the Snow Funeral Home, Halifax, NS., with requiem high mfass in Our Lady of, Perpetual Help, Rockingham, N.S. Interment St. John's Cemetery, Halifax, N.S.,, Memorial donations to the Leukemia Foundation would be appreciated.> MRS. JESSIE NORRIS A resident of Oshawa for 66 years, Mrs. Jessie Norris died at Hillsdale Manor on Wednes- day, March 15,, 1978. Mrs. Norris,, the former Jessie Wilson, was born January 30, 1889,, in London, England. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mark Wilson and was married May 19, 1918' in London, England. A member of St. George's Anglican Church, Mrs. Norris was, predeceased by her husband, Bert Norris who died on December 7, 1958, 'one daughter, Mrs. Jessie (Betty) Somerville who died in 1972 and one son, Bennie Leon Norris who died in 1919. The last surviving member of her family, she is survived by lier son-in-law, George Somerville of Bowmanvilie. 1Mrs. Norris rested at the Armstrong Funeral Home, men (Audrey) of Oshawa; one son, Alian Trevail of Oshawa; three grandchildren, and three great,, grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Alex Russel (Jeannieý )of Oshawa andone brother, Frank Taylor of Courtfice. Interment was in Union Cetnetery. Rev. Robert Chapman officiated.
