Keep June il open for Elizabethville Sunday School amniversary. Women's Institute members have been invited to a dinner at Millbrook. Mrs. McAllister has the tickets. 1On Tuesday afternoon the U.C.W. Unit II held their April meeting at Welcome at the Manse, Mrs. Kennedy welcomed us at the door. Mrs. H. White, the president, presided. Mrs. M. McAilster had the devotional part of the meeting.- The minutes were read by Mrs. Thickson in the absence of Mrs. H. Quantrill. Our bake sale on April 18 was discussed and pricmng decided. Mrs. White read fromn the observer. Lunch was served by'Mrs. G. Morris, and Mrs. Kennedy. Callers at Mr. and Mrs. C. Mercer's Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. W. Terbenche and family, Port Hope, Mrs. R. Crombie and boys, Bowman- ville. They alsô!called at Mr. and Mrs. Hon Mercer's. Miss Diane Beatty, Port Credit, spent a few days at home this week. 1Mr. and Mrs. V. Peacock visited with Mr. and Mrs. E. Lee and Viola, Peterborough recently and also called on Shawn Peacock at Trent University. Mr. Jim Muldrew was home for the weekend. Mrs. Westheuser and girls, were with Mr. and Mrs. H. Thickson, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. H. Hodgins spent Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. G. Fowler. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Beatty,, Mr.; and Mrs. C. Beatty spent Sunday with Miss Diane Beatty, Port Credit and with Mir. and Mrs. D, Gunby, Scarborough: Mr. and Mrs. Stan Kennedy, Peterborough called on Mr. and Mrs. C. Mercer, recently. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Beatty attended the Mr. and Mrs. Sam Powell 60th wedding annîversary at Orono on Saturday evening. Others attending from here were Mr. and Mrs. M. Walker, Mr. and Mrs. K. Trew, Mrs. A. Trew, Mir. and Mrs. H. White and Miss Beatrice Rowcliffe. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Trew went to Guelph on Sunday and brought Andrew Peacock home from school to Vernon Peacock's where he is staying. H1e bas finished school at Guelph for this year.
