Roberts was appointed' vice president, manufacturers' sales by Goodyear Canada's baard of) dîrectars taday. Roberts, 60, joined the company in his native Calgary as an order desk clerk in- 1938. During Warld War Il lie served as a flying instructor in the RCAF fram which he retired with the rank of flight lieutenant. Upon his return ta Goodyear in 1945, Roberts was appointed sales representative in British Columbia. In 1948 he was transferred ta the company's head office, where he became manager, auto tire sales in 1949; manager, truck and farm tire sales in 19.56; manager, manufacturers' sales in 1959, and general manager of that division in 1969. Roberts is a past-president of the Lakeshore Kiwanis, past chairman of St. Wilfred's Anglican advisary board and a member af St. Gèorge's-Golf and Country Club.
