Advance: $5.00 H.,M.S. Pinafore -a Resounding Success at Hob bs On Thursday Friday and Saturday night, Students at M. J. Hobbs senior public school presented Gilbert and Sulivan's H .M.S. Pinafore. Treachers and students worked on the set designing, costumes, script, and makeup during lunch breaks, after school, and on Saturdays from November to get ready for it. During the three night run, the gymnasium was filled to capacity and on Friday night, there were more people wanting to see the play than there were chairs to accommodate them. According to school officiais, the production was a resounding success. Here is a scene from the last portion of act one: Ralph (Kevin Taylor) is about to commit suicide when Josephine (Sandra Kofalvi) intervenes and professes her undieing love for him. More than 40 students took part in the production of the play. Behind the Scenes at H.wM.S. Pirblnafore Although there were some 60 students who acted in M. J. Hobbs' production of the H.M.S. Pinafore, there were another 20 students who helped in makeup and costumes, 20 students who buit and moved the sets and four on lighting.
