Mrs Roy Taylor spent a week with Mr. and Mrs. Anson Taylor at their country home at Walker's Point on Lake Muskoka. On Mother's Day they attended St. James Anglican Church in Graven- hurst and after church had dinner at Muskoka Sand's Inn overlooking Lake Muskoka. Sunday, May 2lst, Mr. and Mrs. Anson Taylor of Scar- borough, and Carolyn from Toronto enjoyed Sunday after- noon and evening meal with Mrs. Roy Tayrlor'in Blac- scarves to accent a wardrobe. The six Rangers were accom- panied by Lois Van Camp on guitar during the singing of: 'Our Way', 'Let It Be', and the Ranger theme song, 'Let there Be Peace On Earch'. The many children attending the show enjoyed the penny sale, while cheese with breads and coffee or juice were served. Mrs. Blake Gunter and Mrs. Roy Turner, leaders of the Rangers shared in providing the commentary for-the fash- ion show. Friday children at the Nursery School learned more about the different ' musical sounds thanks to four C.C.P.S. students. The morning visitors were: John Green with trum- pet and Judy Ayer on flute. In the afternoon the four year olds were entertained by Kelly McLaughlin on ber French Horn and Marilyn Green with her slide trombone. Mr. and Mrs. James Flem- ing, Eileen and David of Ottawa were weekend guests at the Schryburt home. This coming Sunday at il: 00 a.m., weather permitting, the St. John's Anglican Church will hold their Annual Roga- tion Service at the home of George and Norma Wolfe, followed by a Pot Luck dinner at the Parish Hall, everyone is welcome. Tuesday evening Candy Malcolm showed slides of her recent trip to the Holy Land at the Nestleton United Church in North Nestleton, several members of the Blackstock Charge attended. A.C.W. Meeting On Thursday, May l8th, St. John's A.C.W. met at 4 p.m. at Pine Ridge Pottery on High- way 7A, east of Nestleton. The group enjoyed a very interest- ing tour and talk with Mr. Culnow and his sister, Beth who have been operating the business since last summer. Following the tour the ladies went to the home of Gail Mason, where everyone enjoy- ed a social time and a pot luck supper. After the meal presi- dent Sharon Umphrey con- ducted the business meeting. A donation was made to the O.N.O. for the use of their dishes. June loth was set as the date for the Annual Spring Supper. Next month's meeting will be held in the Parish Hall on Thursday, June 8th at 8 p.m., when Sergeant Roy Hobbs will speak on crime prevention. Anyone interested in attending is most welcome, lunch will be served. The meeting concluded with a thought provoking reading and discussion by Gail, on the subject of 'Life after Life?'. The Blackstock Drop-in Club held their organization meeting on Wednesday, May 17th, with a follow-up execu- tive meeting on Monday evening. Officers for the club are: President - Leanne Van Camp, Vice President - Kim Jeffery, Treasurer - Brian Dalton and Secretary, Wendy Guernsey., Tenta ti ve-plans were formulated for a bottle drive in the near -future- as,.a fund raising project. There will be a 'teen dance' on Friday night, May 26th, in Blackstock for teens in the area and prospective mem- bers; further information will be available later in the week by contacting an officer of the club. During the following weeks the officers plan to attend service clu bs and organizations to ask for sup- port in obtaining funds for recreational equipment. Madame Justice Van Camp, Aileen Van Camp, and Eileen McLaughlin were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Drinkwater for the' Victoria Day weekend in Ottawa. While in Ottawa they attended festive boat parades on the canal and enjoyed the sight of Ottawa at 'tulip time'. The Blackstock Nursery School will hold an important business meeting at the school on Monday evening, May 29th, all interested in the school are asked to attend as the bulk of the business will concern the running of the school in 'the faîl.
