It was held by Oshawa Branch of the Superannuated Teachers in honour of the teacher who had been teachiing on or before 1918. There1 were several retired teachers who received this citation including Miss Kate Foster who taught in Orono Public School for many years. There was a community shower held in Kendal Sunday School room last Thursday evening in honour of Miss Dale Manders who is being married in July. Dale received many beautiful gifts and thanked everyone. There was a good attendance including friends who wree visiting from California. Master Michael Brown of London returned home with his grat aunt, Miss Stewart for a holiday. At Church on Sunday Rev. Tizzard took the whole service and spoke on Communion after which the Sacrament of Communion was served. Mrs. E. Foster was at the door greeting friends. Mrs. Helen Woods played the organ.
