Two hundred and fifty-eight birds were entered mi. the 89-mile race from Napanee to Bowmanville. 1The first prize winner, with a speed of 1268 yards per minute,,ives on First Street and is owned by Dave Woolner. Then came Dave with rd, 4th, 5th and 6tb place birds, ail in the space of a few minutes. Seventh place went to Jack Skinner. Eighth place was won by Keith and Pat Woolner. Price had the ninth place pigeon and R. Kraken- brg owned the pigeon coming home in tenth place. Most birds arrived, home about two hours after release. The "B" Champ1ions in the Lakeshore novice team receive their awards. A banquet held Saturday evening at the Newcastle Village Hall marked the end of the season for the Bowmanville Minor Hockey Association.
