Continuing with our theme of women in the work force, you may recail that a Bowmanville resident was recently chosen as Secretary of te Year in a contest sponsored by an Oshawa radio station. Her photo and story are re- printed here from our May 2nd edition of the Statesman. Secretary of the Year, Barbara Parsons, is shown here (seated) beside Cathlyn Wethy of Bowmanville, a Manpower Temporary secretary who replaced her last month for a day off work. A holiday was awarded to Mrs. Parsons when she was chosen Secretary of the Year in a contest sponsored by radio station CKAR in Oshawa. Mrs. Parsons is secretary of Patient Care Services at Bowmanvile Memorial Hospital. She is shown here with Carrol Hayes, District Manager of Manpower Temporary Services and Jim Hooper., Director of Patient Services. Secretary 0f the Year A secretary at the Bowmanville Memorial Hospital was recently selected Secretary of the Year in a contest sponsored by radio station CKAR in Oshawa. Emp'loyers were asked to send in the names of secretaries who deserve the title Secretary of the Year and Barbara Parsons of Bowmanville wa s, chosen. Mrs. Parsons is the secretary of Patient Care Services at the Bowmanville Memorial Hospital. Her namne was submitted by about 20 persons at the hospital including head nurses, department heads and the persons she. works HAIRDRESSING From Page 10 Jan says she feels there is an advantage to having three owners.
