Mr. Don Cathenet took a weak spel while working in the General Motors on Wednesday morning and bas been taken to the Bowmanville Memorial Hospital. Dons many friends hope tbis is flot serious, AJAX RATEPAYERS PROTEST CHURCH GROUP Ajax Council recently voted to close off the only road leading to the Ajax Baptist Cburcb following a complaint tbat churcb members were -an "undesirable f ringe eie- ment." Council's action camie on tbe basis of a Birch street ratepayers' petition whîch claimed tbat the cburcb: -Lowered property values in the area; -Noise f rom meeting$ of youth groups and other organizations ln the cburch hall was annoying;, -Members of the church parked their cars on -the Êtreet at nîghts, -Trucks going to and from the cburch were annoying as weil as dangerous. Council was told that the only entry to the cburcb was from the foot 0f Bircb street. It was at this point that tbe ratepayers wanted tbe barrder erected.
