Don Rickard was one of our. outstaflding, heroes when he got, a win of second in the shot put event, mnissing- first place by a matter of inches. Don vas also in the high jumip and was edged out by only 2 inches. Ken Knox and Wayne Rickard -were in the Y2 mile and 1 mile race'and were jus out of the money. But it was no discredit to them as both races were run at expert speeds. Grant, Greenwood and Gary Jeffery, in the 100 yard- dash, tore sod ail the way down1 the Une but misselj out by a few paces.
