Land 'z The Townshýlip of Clarke Council held their final council meeting Sfor the year on December l5th. At this time they handled year- end business and also received a $ number of delegations. Messrs Donald Staples and George Carson, representing the Durham Central Agricultural Soci- gety asked Council if any dicision Shad been made for the disposition, of the old Township Garage and Iyardssot of the fair grounds in SOrono. They also- asked if this jproperty and building could be rented or acquired by the Society. Reeve Stone informed the dele- gation that M. D. Brown O.L.S., wspreparinig a survey of the lands and thiat upon receiving the plans Council would be giving jfurtber con!Âderation of the dis- poigof the lands. lHe also said- Ithat Counceil would consider the Ointerest of the Society. Messrs. C. Allun, Win. Buma -and Donald Crago met with coun- cil asking improvements in ditch- ",ing and 'drainage along a section rof the Clarke-"Darlington Bound- ~ary road.
