I liaven't had many reports on tlie opening of trout fishing, but 1 have heard of a few people having modcrate luck in our lo- cal streams, one trout reaching fifteen incieg. I also heard that a small boy on lis birthday last week had the pleasure of catch- ing one of tlie biggest troUt a-' round. Have. you ever seen a dog re- trieve suckers? Well you haven't had any fun until you bave. Last Sunday we witnessed a Labrador, retrieving suckers which were, chased into shallow water. H1e would first swima over the deep holes and chase tiemn to the nar- rows where lie would then pick themn up and bring them t& shore. 1 don't know who had the most fun, the dog or the spectators. The fisi were taken home and ea- ten. Even the egls are, eaten just like caviar. Our Centennial Shoot is a veoey special day, please don't forget'j the date, July 9th.
