A. Cumming, Toronto visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Billings. To mulke decisio'n on incinerator Mr. E. R. Woodyard, at a re- cent meeting of the Orono Police Trustees, state 'd that a decision should soon be made on whether or not the Police Trustees were going to accept the offer of Curv- ply Wood Products in regards to the incinerator located at the south plant in Orono. It appears that Curvply, has offered the in- cinerator to the Village if they are willing to pay for the remov- ai of the incinerator to the .Vil- lage dump. It is expected that it will cost from $1500 to '$2000 to move the incinerator from its prese5it location and to locate it at the dump. Reference was also made by Mr. Simpson to the fact that the dump needed cleaning up again and Vat this work should be done as soon as possible. Fairbrother showed the children how to make a dish garden using a large clam sheîl brought by one of tfie Jun- ior Gardeners. She also made a beautiful dish arrangement using -,,,ring fiowers w7hich was won by Carl Coatham, a new memb er. Three rose bushes were donated to the club from Brookdale- Kingsway Nurseries of Bowman- ville. The names of a Junior member an-d a Senior member and a mother were picked. Jim- my Lycett, Dale Evans ang~ Mrs. J. Quinton were the lucky win- ners. Severai members are planning to have gardens this summer in the garden competition. Any children who would like to be- come Junior Gardeners will 'be welcomed to the Club. MIrs. T. Fairbother explained the items that can be entered in the Spring Show which will be held the 4th Thursday of May.
