W. C. Easton, director of the program and a spokesman for the Society of Industrial Accountants of Ontario, said the first year and part of the 'second year of the 5- year R..A.1 course will be offered at Trent this f all. These will begin in October and will be administered by the Uni- versity's department of part-time studies. Mr. Easton spoke of the growing need for qualified management Qc- countents in the area and expect- cd the provision of the course at Trent to help in meeting the de- rnand. He hoped other subjects of the course would be added in fu- ture years. There are 165 R.I.A. students in the area who are. completing their courses by correspondence. The introduction of lecture class- es at Trent wll give them the op- tion of taking the course by lec- ure or correspondence. Last week the contracting firm from Trenton started laying a cernent floo r in the building and work continues on this part of the pro- ject. The Orono Police Trustees are constructing new office space in the south part of the building with garage space north of this sectiom. The office and garage space is to be rented to the Or- ono Hydro for their use.
