Such organizations were cited, durîng the formation of County Boards of Education, as the key ink between the school and, the parents. It is this organization which is to provide the tics so necessary in fulfillingthe aims of education and to promote a ful understanding between' ail factors of the edu cational system. Unfortunately th~e Home and Sehool Association lias dloser tics with the elementary level of education ànd few, if any, tics exist between this group and the secondary level This is not ail the fault of the Association for the second- ary level of education lias held aloof for many years and only now, and since the formation of the Board of Educa- tion on a County basis, is the gap beginning to narroW be- tween.-the two sectors in education. There is stili mucli im- provemewt in this field to be accomplished and one sucli area, other than the Home and School, is that - wthin the teaching profession where stili. exists two definite or- gani7ations and two bargaining, groups. It is time the secondary level of education became invohreti in the-local Home 'and School organizations and assist With their programns and to. use this group, as a means to establish a greter insighit into its educational program.
