Report NEWCASTLE DETACHIMENT The Newcastle Detachment of. the Ontario Provincial, Police from May l6th, to May 22nd, 1971 investigated 14 mnotor v-ehicle col- lisions in which 5 persons rcceiv- cd personal injury, and as a re- suit 9 persons were charged witli bîghway traffîc offtences. Investigated during the samne period, of time, were 79 general occurrences o! which there were 3 reports of common theft, 1 re- port of Break, Enter and Theft, 5 reports of wilful damage, 3 dis- turbance complaints, 3 trcspassing complaints, 2' reports of assault, 1 domestie complaint, one report of indecent assault and 5 reports of erratic or dangernus driving. Three persons are charged with criminal offences, 3 persons with imipaired driving, and 4 persons charged with minor liquor offene- es. Over the wcekend of May 15th, to May l7th, 1971, the Canadian and Ontario flags were stolen from the flag poles at the 1)epartment Highways office locateil n ar the Jct. of Ilwys. 35 and 401.
