Roy Colville on September 9, of a beart attack wbule waiting in court to present' a case, bas left a great viod in tbe lives of many. Ils wise decisions for our club, as well as legal decisions for bis inany clients are goîng to be sore- ly mîssed. Roy's wittîcisms and quiet, to-tbe-point remarks will long be remembered by bis many friends at the tToronto Ski Club, St. George'e Golf Club and the Carlton Club of Toronto. Roy grew up in Orono, Ontario, the only cbld -of Dr. and Mrs. Neil Colvîlle. Hle Nas very proud of his birtbplace and would oc- casio)nally tel] stories of soine of bis youtbful escapades. Particu- larly will he beremembered for bis skillful card playing, being a real poker player at the age of sixteen! Roy also organized the Orono Tennis Club. H1e graduated from the Univers- ity of Toronto in 1939. In 1943 ho was called to the Bar at Osgoode Hall. In 1963 lie was appointed as a Queen's Counsellor and at the time of his deatb wàs a partner in the law firm, of Goodenougli, Iligginbot- tom, McDonnall and Colville. During the Second World War lie served as a pilot witb the RCAF and was a member of the Fort York Brandi of the Legion. Roy met bis wife, the former Jean Picmani of Parry Sound, la 1940 wben she wvas bis nurse during a stay -in hospital. Tbey, were marrled in 1944. As one of tbe directors of the Toronto Ski Club and the Blue Mountain Ski Club lie bas served uaceasingly on their. behaif for the past 24 years. It is cbiefly due to Roy's insighit and ability that the Toronto Ski Club will enjoy skiing privileges at Blue Mountain for -999 years.
