A Newcastle Publie School stu- dent was the winner of the con- test. Terry Dawson, speaking on "Change in the Last 100 Years", topped the competition. Orono was wehl up in the com- petition with John Cornish plac- ing third with lis ' speech on outer space exploration. Second place went to a student from Grandviiew scitool in Cavan Township.
