Mr. K. W. Bolam is the manager and Mr. J. D. Carruthers is the as- sistant manager of the new office. The Industrial -Development Bank provides financing, usually in the form of term'loans, to smaller businesses which are unable to obtain financial assistance from other sources on reasonable terms and conditions. IDE makes loans to almnost every type of business including manufacturing, tourist industry, construction, wholesale and retaîl trade, agriculture, and many others. Mr. Bolamn has had some eleven years service with IDB and prior to his present appointment he was manager of the Kitchener-Waterloo office of the bank. On Saturday, June 2nd, Lawrence Hooey's horse Muddy John, trained by John Hooey placed second in the third race at St. Catharines. KENDAL TYKES BEATEN BY PORT HOPE The second game of the E.O.B.A. tyke division played Friday at Kendal was lost due to the superior pitching skills of the Port Hope team. The Kendal team did not seema to he able to get their team spirit up until late in the game, 'at this stage it was hiowever too littie-to late. Opening pitcher for Kendal was, Jim Moffatt. He was replaced hy Alan Webster who in turn was releaved by Danny Wagar. Ken Farrow and Wayne Mcbean showed some sharp fielding. The local' team is' a young team with many of the players playing their first hall this year, according tq Russ Major. Bobby Myles, Stev Stec. and Richard Robinson scored two ruais each with the other four ruais divided between Robhie Taîsma, Wayne Zoschke, Duane Major and Jeff West- brooke.
