Forrester stated that he could not blame Mr. Tennant for signing the agreement as it contained many items of responsibility for which Mr. Tennant was not responsible. Mr. Simpson said that this may be so but that « Mr. Tennant had not made an effort to sign the agreement and if he did feel changes should be made that he could contact the Trustees. R. Forrester agreed to this and said he would like to know just where the Trustees stand not having an agreement. Mr. Partner suggested they con- tact their lawyer before taking any further action. Mr. Partner did state that it would be less expensive in the long run to have Hales Disposal look after garbage pick-up in Orono and to dispose of it at the Hale Disposal area. The Board expects to meet with Mr. Lycett this week over this matter and another relat- ing to Station Street. TRUSTEES GIVE NO QUARTERS (Continued from page 1) issued. He said he felt the summons should remain. Mr. Partner agreed with Forrest- er with the outcome that no action was taken to have the charge dropped. Oxford BRICKLAYERS STONEMASONS WILLIE J. Kendal played three games in the series, all victories. The EOBA trophy was pre- sented to the team by Mr. Bert Reid, Newtonville, a local convenor of the EOBA. In Kendal's opening game the club defeated Peterbor- ough 6-4 behind the pitching of Eric Moore who has yet to face defeat this year on the Kendil mound. In the hitting department Stévie West tagged four for four in the five Kendal hits. Tom Wallace took the other Kendal hit. In the second game of the series for Kendal the club met the strong Keene entry and took a 3-2 victory. Jerry Thompson started on the mound for the Kendal Juniors with Michael Carman coming in relief in the top of the fifth and taking the final win with some fine pitching. Doug Rickard showed his strength at the plate with three for three. Jerry Thomp- son and Bill McCollough both had single hits. In the third game and the one giving the Kendal Juniors the championship the local club downed Oshawa 7-2. Bill McCollough pitched the first three innings with Michael Carman again coming in in relief with two one and non out in the top of the fourth. Carma.n again took the win for Kendal and gave up only one hit in the eleven innings he pitched in the series. In hitting Stevie West came up with a triple along with hits to Bill, Robinson, and Tom Wallace. The whole Kendal team played well throughout the series and manager Brian Foster feels they can have great success in the Ontario playdowns if they continue to play as they are at this time. Stevie West was declared the most valuable player of the Whitby tournament ORONO MIDGET PLAYS IN PLAYDOWN SERIES Keith Powell of Orono and a member of the Oshawa Mid- get club pitching staff pitched for the Oshawa Juniors in the Whitby playdown series over the week-end.
