In the first eight games West had a total of ten points. New Haven is currently only two points out of first place. KEITH WEST MAKES MARK AT KAWARTHA SATURDAY On Saturday evening at the Kawartha Raceway Keith West knocked off a first place finish along with two seconds and a third place finish. The win came driving Joe Johnston in the fourth with Newton Star second and Randon Chief third. West was second behind Seldon Miss driving Eastwood Scot in the fifth also placing second behind Hoot Van in the, seventh driving Ja De Glassford. His third place finish was with Stormy Coast back of Vinegar Pete and Tru Ray Sis in the third race. ANOTHER WIN FOR ORONO DRIVERS-Junior West chalked up a win at the Kawartha on Saturday. TWELVE MINOR TEAMS PLAY OUT OF ORONO - This year there is a considerable increase in the number of minor hockey teams playing under the banner of the Orone Amateur Athletic Association which numbers twelve in ail. Orono has three Tyke teams, three Atom teams, three Pee Wees, two Bantams and one Midget team. All Orono teams with the exception of the TYkes are playing in the United Counties league. The Atoms play between Orono, Bewdley and Port Hope. The Bantams play with similar teams with the exception of Port Hope.
