West had 35 points off 15 goals and, 20 assists. Peter MacNab of Cincinnati was in second place with 33 points along with sachurak or Providence. NEW ARENA FOR MIAN VERS -WiII Richardson of Pontypool informed us on Monday that Manvers Township Cuneil bas approved the expenditure of $260,000 for an arena in Manvers to be built at the Junction of 7A and 35 near the Grandview Public School. Bret Johason carried the attack for Orono Swith two goals and an assist. Paul Reed and Danny Barlow notched the other two goals with assists to Enri Atkins and Terry Watson. ORONO NOVICE FLYERS ROAST ORONO ROAST BEEF NOVICE 7-3-Saturday morning in the Orono rink two Orono Novice teamns met with the Flyers taking a 7-3 victory over the Roast Beef team. Kingston's Frontenac Downs, Peterborough's Kawartha Downs and London's Western Fair Raceway also have winter programs. ORONO PEEWEE HORNETS AND ATHLETICS PLAY TO DRAW-Tbe Orono PeeWee Hornets and Flyers played at the Orono rink on Friday and were unable to settle the contest which ended in a two-all tie. -Wayne MacLean and Stephen Haynes scored the athletic goals with assîsts to Bobby Myles and David Sunstrun. Micheal Mitchell and John West scored the.Hornets goals. ORONO BANTAM FALCONS TIE BOWMANVILLE+The Falcons of Orono and a team from Bowmanville played to a draw on Friday evening with the score standing at two-all. Mathew Robinson and Paul Yeoman scored the local goals with the assists going to Doug Hancock and Bill Hudgins. ORONO BANTAM EAGLES TAKEN BY BEWDLEY 3-1 The Bantamn Eagles could only muster one goal Sunday in Bewdley and thus were defeated 3-1 by the Bewdley entry in the Bantamn league. The lone Orono goal was scored by Greg Hickey but mnost of the boys state they should have won the game. ORONO MIVIDGETS STRONG ON THE ROAD-The Orono Midget travelling to Newcastle on Saturday took a ciècislve 4-2 viciory. Chris-obinson picked up two points in the game with a goal and an assist. Single points went to John Nanninga, David Brown and Kenny Neal for goals and to Mike Maitland, Greg Gorham-and Blaine Barnes for assists.
