A good number of last years pitching staff is stili intact and with some new additions everything looks bright for the Juniors. flot too happy with scliedule8 The Kendal Eagles are not too happy with the schedule drawn up this year whîch leaves the Kendal club with only three Sunday games. The Eagles will be augmented this year with a number of players who have had to leave the Juniors because of age. It was expected that Steve West would have been on the club this year at short-stop but due to an injury this is doubtful. It is understood that three new teams are entered in the league this year. The new clubs came out of Whitby, Little Britain and Keene. This will make an eight team league providing none of the teams folds during the season. FISHING REPORTS MEAGRE-Although fishing reports have been meagre since the opening of the trout season in thisarea we did learn that Mrs. Jack Mercer landed a fîve pound rainbow on opening day after borrowing a fishing pole and making tracks for the stream. Last Saturday afternoon young Mathew Ro bin son made a quick visit to the office to inform us that the rainbows were biting at the second floom. He reported a numnber of catches about mid afternoon. He hightailed it home to gjet his pole and take his position along the bank at the floomn soon to again returni with a nice three pounder.
