The teams then played two scoreless periods of exciting hockey, with the goalies from both teams makin 'g some excellent saves. Ken Evans then made some goal moves to slip tWo past goalie Dan Mitchell, both being assisted by Mark Charland to end the ga me Midgets 10 to the Banta ms 3. The Bantams thank the Midgets for their sportsmanlike play and the game as they are waiting for their playoffs to mheet the winner of Minden, Sundlerland, Woodville and Ops. On February 4th, 1977 the Orono New Dutch Oven Tykes played the Camsport tykes and the New Dutch Oven teamn came through with a 2-0 win. January 30t1î The Tennant Fuels Atoms travelled to Ops Township arena but because of the severe blowing snow conditions only seven players and a few fathers were. able to make the game. Rather than eall the game Ops loaned Orono two players. The local boys played well but were finally out-scored 4-2. Greg Vey scored unassisted along woth Don Quackenbush, one of the Ops players loaned to Orono. Robert French and Greg Vey assisted on the later goal. February Znd, 1977 Ajax visited Orotno on Wednesday night leaving town with a 3-0 win. The Orono boys played a strong game but came up shorthanded in th~e scoring department.
