The Tendal Royals hope to break a four game losing streak when they open their best 2 of 3 playoff series with the Port Hope Flyers, Tuesday night in Port Hope. The second game will be played Saturday August l3th at Jackson Park The Kendal Eagies are scheduled to play a tie-breaking game tonight, Wednesday, with Ajax in Kendal to determine which team gets a bye into the playdowns. A win by Kendal wili give the Eagles the bye and thus the first round of the Senior C playdowns would be betlween Ajax and Little Britain. A loss to Kendal would mean thiat Kendal will face Little Britain in Kendal on Thursday evening for the first game of the playdowns in the C series. The second game of the series would be played in Little Britain on Saturday with a third Since our last report the Orono Squirts have had a number of matches with mixed 'fortunes. The 5th game of the season against Tyrone resulted in a win for us 3 goals to 1. The 6th game resulted in a disappointing draw with Bowmanvilie 2 goals each. A 3rd goal scored by our boys was disallowed. A return match against Tyrone at Tyrone resulted in another draw 1 goal each. This match was piayed on a full size ",itch, the first tîme our boys had played on fuil size ground. The return match against Bowmanville found our Squirts back in their stride with a big win 4 goals to nothîng. Our last match before the sumnmer break was against Waverly who beat us soundly 4 Kendal, a 2: 00 start. A third game, if necessary, wili be played the next day in Port Hope starting at 2:00. In four meetings this season between the two teams, Kendal won once. 14-12. The winner of this series plays the winner of the Kingston-Belleville series. Collingwood Mists host Orono M&M Last weekend a substantial number of faithful supporters of the M & M Variety Lobb-bail team witnessed some stiff competition and good bail playing in Colling- wood during a tourney. M & MV Variety played a total of three games. The first gaine was played against the Niagara Metro's, who were last years runners Up and M & Ml lost 18 - 8. The second gamie looked better in the eyes of the local team as they defeated Ancas- tor Argos 10 - 4. The third game eliminated M & M Variety as they lost to the TJ's of Collingwood.
