Lois Brown, Vice Presi- dent, welcomed everyone and introduced, guests, Shirley and Nancy Allun, who sang two duets, accompanied by Shirley playing guitar. Lights out, and by candie- iglit, four ladies from Unit 4 conlducted' Devotions - the theïme being "Hands". Bon- nie Reid gave the opening medit-ation, and spoke of the mi any uses fLor, our hands. Hydro to m ove spent fuel Ontario Hydro lias planned to.move some 20,000 bundies of spent nuedear fuel at their Pickering generating plant somietime beginning in, Feb- rua ry or Mardi of this coming year. Earlier in October news reports circulated that Ontar- io Hydro was faced with storage of spent fuel attlie Pickering plant and that shut-downs may result if storage was not available. According to a recent news report accommodation for further spent fuel will corne on stream early in 1978 which will have a capacity for 100.000 bundles comparedto the present storage of 80,000 bundles. The present storage facility is now almost filled 'being three years ahead of what was expected. t lias been stated that there is no danger in, transferring the spent bundles some 100,É metres from the present storage site to the new site. t is expected to take six montlis to make the transfer of 20,000 bundies.
