Areas to be covered include: nutrition and feed- ings, housing, breeding, health care and disease prevention. The course will run on Wednesday nights for ten weeks and is two hours per night. The fîrst night this proved by Parliament, which will be paid into each bouse- hold. The basic Old Age Security pension will rise in January to $167.21 from the present $164.74, The Guaranteed Income Supplement is paid to pen- sioners whose income, apart from the Old Age Security pension, is limited. The amount of -the supplement varies in relation to the amount of income. The maximum Guaranteed Income Supplement for a single person, or a married F interest ig y course will be running will be January 13, 1979. The cost of this course will be $8.00. The instructor will be Mr. David Kellogg of Welcome. The second course offered will be on farm bookkeeping. This course will give an introduction to a basic ledger, income statement, balance sheet and inventory records. There will also be information on alternative methods of bookkeeping, such as using computers. The course will look at taxes and tax classes, and cash from the statement. The course will run on Tuesday nights for 10 weeks and it is two hours per night. The f irst night this course will run will be January 12, 1979. The cost of this course will be $8.00. The instructor will be Mr. Ben Currelly of Port Hope. The Spouse's Allowance is paid to persons between 60 and 65 years of age who are married to Old Age Security pensioners and meet resi- dence requirements.
