FoUl art shop McLaughlin gallery A Foil Art Workshop, con- ducted by Anigelique van der Duim will be held'at The Robert McLaughlin Gallery, Oshawa, on Wednesday and, Thursday, November 3 and 4, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. During the two evenings, the painstaking technique of reverse glass application of foul will be, presented. Par- ticipants will have an oppor- tunity to crate an original foul picture. Materials will be provided. Only a limited numnber of participants cani be accommodated. This workshop is being presented in conjuniction with the exhibit FOILING AROUND, which opens 30 November and continues through December at The Robert McLaughlin Gallery. Some pieces, from the workshop may be included in the exhibition. Works in foul by local ar- tists, JanTet« Coates, Audrey McLean, John Richmond, and Nancy Steele will be on view with works by guest ar- tists Louis de Niverville and Angelique van der Duim. School classes wishing to tour this exhibit are advised to book early with Marg Jackson. Tours will include a workshop to make fou týree ornaments. We ini Student Services at Clarke know and understand the frustrations experienced by parents when their teenagers face this frighten- ing decision. There is an over- wbelming amounit of infor- maton in newspapers and on radio and television about career choice and we would like to assist you in wading through this mass of material; instruct you in help- ing your son or daughter to assess individual strengths, interests, capabilities and tie that together with career fields and professions. A career package is being made manîdatory for our senior students at Clarke to explore~ these areas for themselves. However, we are abco presenting a workshop for the parents of students i Grades 11, 12 and 13 to pro- vide you with the knowledge and expertise to help your teeaer deal Aith the dif- ficult task of career decision snaking. This workshop will be held in thse Library of Clarke HigIs School, November 9th, 1982 fromn 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. SAs a foilow up to this workshop on Nov. 25th, 1982, University Night wiil be held at Cobourg Coliegiate Institute Est from 7:00 to 9:00 pari. Ail universities in Ontario wiil have a represen- tative at Cobourg East and cach wiil present an in- dividual talk lasting one-half hour each and ail going on simultaneously, making it possible to attend 3 sessions during thse evening. Parents andi students from ail schools in Northumerland and Newmatle Board of Educa-~ tion are invited and urged to attend this informative ses- sion. A bus has been arranged to transport Clarke students and parents to Cobourg East, leaving Clarke High School at 6:15 P. M., on the evenlng of November 25th, 1982.
