The report came following a brief scrimish in council over use of reserv funds by the Town during the year. Ail reserve funds show an increase in moities from JanUarY Ist to October l4th with the exception of the Parkland reserve fund where a total of $178,570.86 have been withdrawn during the period. These funds have been us- ed for various park developments and facility im- provements which were ap- proved in the 1982 budget earlier this year. In addition the fund provided monies as a grant for the Tyrone Com- munity Centre with a larger ainount being set asîde for a proposed new park and facilities in Solina. The Town has signed an offer off purchase of lands for the Solina Park and ac- cording to the Mayor wilI go ahead if provincial funding and Wintario monies are ob- tainable. In a presentation earlier this year by a Solina interest it was pointed out that their present park was less than suitable and recommended the purchase of land for a new park in the area of the Solina Hall.
