PICKERING TRADE CEN- TRE The developers of a $15-million Pickering Trade Centre have been given the okay t0 start work on the project by the Durham Region Planning Committee. The planned site is 76 acres of land just east of Brock Road in Pickering. Now the Town of Pickering must be approached for local ap- proval. The trade centre will start with 250,000 square feet of floor space and parking for 5,000. The available space will be doubled 10 500,000) square feet after the second haîf of the project is com- pleted., A shopping centre and at least one first class hotel are also to be buit near the site.
