4-Orono Weekly Times, W'ednesday, Novemnber 28, 1984 Rough -ley Tykes seeing lots ofaction Orono's Roughley Tykes and Fenelon Falls Tykes played an exciting game in Fenelon Falls on November 7th. Fenelon Falls scored the first goal at 8:20 in the first period. Orono's Jeff Good- murphy scored, unassisted with 45 seconds left in the first period. Fenelon Falls scored another goal ni the se- cond period and one more in the third to give them a 3-1 win. Jamie Shetier was in net for Orono and was kept busy throughout the gamne. Although Orano didn'î wîn they played a good fast gante and are to be con- gratulated on a fine îean ef- fort. Millbrook fought hard to corne back in the third period and were rewarded with a goal. Philip Cunningham earned his first shut out for the team ffiis season. Thse defensive play for Orono was outstanding with Daryl Reid playing a very stronggame. We wère out- shot eighteen to six and were. fortunate to corne up with the Win. Both Mark Foster and Chad Maartense worked ex- tremely hard to earn their unassisted goals, fig-hting off the opposition who were determined to stop thern. Orono 2 - Manvers 2. Shoppers Drug Mark Srs. score wiru On Sat. Nov. 14, the Orono Shoppers Drug Mart jSeniors travelled to Little Bni- tain for a one day tourna- ment. In the first game Orono faced Millbrook Super Bees and camne out on the Sshbort end of a 4-2 score. Shoppers Drug Mart neyer seem to get on track in thîs i game and were regulated to Sthe consolation round. In their second garne, the Sniors batled the Duro Oldtirners, a teamn they had beaten in every prevîous z meeting. The score was 4-1 for Orono. Scott Hall tenided goal for the first period, and then John Buttigieg relieved himi. Neither Scolt or Johin had to work very hiardc, in fact when the puck did corne toward John, we wý,onider-ed if hie knew what to dlo about il, but he did. At 8:56 of the first period, Our famous "Peanut Butter and Jelly" pair, (Stephen Shetler and Chris Yeo) Ham Ilton de monst rated their superb skills of passing ta score the first g-oal. Chris Yeo gat the goal and Steve got the assist. Shorîly after that marvelous goal, Millbrook popped one in pass Scott Hall. INo fault to Scott. The score was tied at one going into the second pericid. Orono camie out skating and passing like pros but again forgetting the off sides. At 9:29 of' the period, Jay Hanseni's hard work paid off.' At 7:19 Steve Shetier scored a niarker with assists going to Chris Yeo and Jeff Wilson. Then at ,6:37 J.P. Tousignant scored the final goal with assists go- ing to Adam Wallace 'and Scott Hlartwýig. Richie Dupe wîth 0:05 seconds left in the period mrade it 2-0 assisted by Steve Lycett. The second period saw Bo)bcaygeoni cone back with three unanswered goals to puit them ahead 3-2 after two. The third period was to be a wild affair wîth nightmnares for the goalies. Orono started it off wîth two to go ahead 4-3, on -goals by Jim Wood assisted by Robert Snoek and Richie Dupe, then Richie Dupe assîsted by Shawn Bailey and Jirn Wood. Bobcaygeon got the garme back with three of their own to gýo ahiead 6-4. With 1:30 left in the gaine, Orono pulled thieir goalie, with 1:12 Ieft in tire gamne David Lafrance cut the margin to 6-5 assisted by Keith Vey and Richie Dupe then with 0:04 seconds re- rnaining Richie carne up wt his hat'trick as-sisted by Jimi Wood.
