This game was a fast skating affair with top notch goaltending from Orono 's Billy Todd and Shawn Hardy being the order of the day. The visitors opened the scoring early in the first period. At the 3:23 mark of the se- cond stanza Orono connected when Matthew Stevenson sid a backhander into the far cor- ner after some great pressure around Baltimore's goal. Tyler Gibson and BMaine Souch, after some great digg- ing earned the assists on the play. Orono went ahead 2-1 with just 41 seconds remnaining when Blaine Souch fired a hard wrist shot which caught the top corner glove side. This was a power play goal which was set rip nicely by Jason Major and Matt Stevenson. Baltimore opened the third period with a goal of their own to tie the match. .However Brian Rodd put Orono into the lead at the 7:33 mark when he went in ail alone and flipped the puck over ,a sprawling goaiie. David Sheridan-and Todd Gray set up the play with some neat passing. Mike Goodmurphy started the play after he stripped the puck from a Baltimore forward.
