It is not a complete list. In the public works department a total of $4.6 million is ta be spent on roads and sidewalks of which $2.7 cornes from reserves and lot levy funds with the remainder from provincial grains and a minor amount from taxation. The Town will spend $1 .7 million reconstructing Truill's Road in the Courtice area, $150,000 for a foot bridge over the Hampton pond, $425,000 for the Port Granby culvert. In the Orono area $20,000 is be- ing spent for a contract for work on Church Street along with $10,000 for an Orono road study. $10,000 for work at the intersection of O'Chonski Road with the sixth con- cession road, (Taunton),' The budget includes $325 ,000 for the completion of the northcrn tir station. An amount of $275,000 was also included in the 1989 budget. A new fire p umper for $250,000 is also included jn the budget. In Community Services for parks, playgrounds, and municipal facilities as arenas and municipal building a total of $2.165 million is ta be spent on capital works. 0f this amount $69,500 cames from taxa- ,tion with the remainder from reserves and lot levy funds. An amaunt of $8,500 is included for some repairs at the Orono Arena, $27,000 for a beam, win- dows and outsidc back steps for the Orono Town Hall. A new roof at . the Ncwcastle arena is ta cost $58,000. Repairs to the Clarke Library will cost $3,200, at the Ncwtonville Hall $15,000, at the Newcastle Village Community Hal $56,000 for tive new furnaces, win- dows and other repairs. The capital budget includes cd that council cansider making such access available. The affer was some 2000 tonnes of 8 inch stone which the praperty owners would place as they saw fit. Counc. Hamre asked Wood if there was a time limit an the offer for such work would have tg be considered by the Conservation authority as they did have control over the lakefront. She said there could be other bodies that would have an interest. Wood said this was fair enough and St. Mary's would respect the in- terest of other bodies.
