In a written report to council, Newcastle Fire Chief Michael Creighton, said that he had carried out the inspection with Mr. Randy Reinert, Newcastle's Fire Preven- tion Inspector and with Mr. Rod Adamns from the Ministry of the En- vironment. Nine sites within the Town were inspected, that practice stormng used tires. The premises checked held a total of 280,250 used tires in -alI.
