The first period opened with both teains skating bard, executing good crisp passes, with, both goalies making many saves, but it -was Grafton wbo opened the scoring with three minutes left in mhe period. Less than.two minutes later Grant Esler on a pass froin Jamie Richter put one past the Grafton goaltender to tie mhe gaine. Haîf tme second period went by witb neither teain making any inistalces, then Grafton broke the gaine open scoring three tinies, but before mhe period ended Greg Bull scored, assisted by B.J. Hackett and Amy McAlllister to keep the gaine close. Orono came out strong in the mhird period baving great chances, but it was Greg Bull, who scored his second of the game unassisted on a giveaway by the Grafton. defence. Less thani a minute later Steven Foster tied the gaine on a nice pass froin Grant Esler. You could bear mhe players on the bench wanting another goal, but it was Grafton wbo came out on top as they scored mhe winning goal and added two more to end a bard fought gaine. O rono Tykes lose to Oshawa Oshawa's Thornton Dundee Tyke Teain was in Orono to play our boys this past Friday. It started out a very close gaine but when it was over Oshawa were the victors by a5-1 score. 'he first period was scoreless as both teams got some very good goaltending. Botb teams had several break away attempts foiled. In the second period Orono started the scoring. as Maîthew Reid bit the mark, assisted by Christopher Kirkbride and Michael Knapp. Unfortunately Oshawa replied with three goals in the period. In the final 'period Oshawa scored twice more to take a 5-1 lead in tme gaine. It was a bard fought game by our boys, but mis time Oshawa came out on top. Collin Cureatz played a very good gaine for Orono, i goal, stopping several Oshawa breaks. Keep up mhe good work boys!
