So 1 hope this littie "Mom's Hockey Dictionary" will help out those still ini the cark like myself. Holding - fairly self explanatory, holding on to another player unabling hlm to play. Interference - interfering with another player who does not have the puck. Tripping - with beginners sometimes easy to get away with, when flot being sure if its a trip or a faîl, but deliberately tripping another player usually with a stick. Elbowing - I haven't seen this yet in tykes, but jabbing another player with your elbow. Slashing, - wacking another player with your stick. .1 Cross checking - I'm told it's hitting a player with your stick parallel to the ice. High sticking - Hitting with the stick above the shoulder. Yet in Tykes, some players skate with high sticks just to keep their balance. Boarding,- Better known as body checking, flot'allowed in Tykes! When a player smashes your little boy into the boards. This one most mom's don't like. Off Side - The hardest one to figure out for mom's. Just recently I mastered this one, I think.
