Await federal decision low-level waste study A decision bas yet to corne down the tube from the federal govenment as to the future of the local Community Liaison Groups who in most cases have completed Phase Three of their studies as to the future direction to bandie low- level nuclear wastes in their communities. Funding for the groups in Port Hope, Newcastle and Hope Township terminated as of the end of 1990 and it was understood mhat the federal1 cabinet would make a decision, shortly, as to *tie renewal of funding so0 mat the groups could continue into Phase Four.
