One of the Rotary people outlined Uic activities for thc wcekend and soon cveryone was looscned up and liaving fan. It was a very lovcly wcekend witli planned seminars and lots of sports activities. Goal setting andi confidence building were the main themes of thc weekend andi al activities centreti on these two areas. We lcarned how te set goals -nd more importantly liow te ..hieve these goals. It was very creative- and more than that it was filled with humour so while we werc learning wc were laughing and enjoying ourselves. "What thec mmd conceives and believes it will achieve" was dic quote which initiated most of die activities. Différent Roary people, shared with us their own individual formula for success in their own business. We all met a lot of new people and made new friendships. An exchange student from Brazil contributed a game from hler culture and it was different and cnjoyablc. All in all it was a rcally great fimte in whicli 1 leamned a lot and had a lot of fun. Blood Donor Cli jil A Success! Clarke High Scliool was wcll rcprescnted at thc Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic in Bowmanville on May 1. About 35 units of blood were collected from Clarke donors, many of wliom wcre donators for the firs:t tme. The Red Cross was happy te sec sucli a good turnout at Uic cliic whicli was hcld at The Lions Centre. The next cliic will be on August 7.
