We saw carn, broccali, anions, peppers, peas, cudumnbers, yelow and green beans, punpkins, zucchini, summer squash, beets, tommies, cabbage, watermelans, celeriac, tiny tims, grain, claver, rye, leeks, herbs, brussel sprauts, kale flowers and orchards. They plant their raws of vegetables thick, Sa that when same plants dan't corne up, there will stili be enough. We learned that broccali, caulflower and cabbage belang ta the Kohl family. They ratate the dirt alot so they don't gel nany weeds. They plant grain, rye and lover next ta the craPS ta help Market keep thxe weeds down. Miter they showed us al the fields and crops, we drove back in the tractor ta the orchard. Back ai the orchard, Mrs. Price told us they use a kind of soul called "Pro Mix Sou." They use pig manure for fertilizer. Mr. and Mrs. Price have a cat, pigs, a white and brown horse and a goat also! Mrs. Price let each of us' have -a herb. There was peppermint, lavender, thyme, tarragon, basil and summer savary. Junior Gardeners will be visiting Price's Country Market again in mid August. The unit had been operating ai one hundred percent capacity umiil January. Unit One at the plant was closed down mid March and hopefully will be in aperation once more li July. 'Mis unit had quickly gained 100 percent capacity when it was closed down for routine maintenance.
