Purchaser of the building, formnerly the Newcastle Multi Care Centre, Ken Siater was on hand, to meet with.residents and answer questions. Several concerus put to Mr. Slater regarded the types of businesses or activities that would be offered at the centre. It appears that some local residents are concerned that a Resource Centre might attract an undesirable clientele, should the opportunity arise somne time in the future. The Resource Centre is awalt ing new zoning. Currently, the facility is zoned R-i for a nursing home. Citizen 's group hope fui of pro gress Lakeshoreý greenway The Citizens for a Lakeshore Greenway now envision a trail along the lakefront reaching from Port Hope into the Niagara Escarpment area.
